The Incredible Dating Weekend

Quite a weekend here in Chicago, complete with low, low temperatures, and lots of sunshine! Huang and I had a couple of little 'dates' in an attempt to get out and explore some more of Chicago. Friday night we ran out to the suburbs to hear a stand-up comic that we like. His name is Todd Barry. It was fun seeing him live, and he's pretty damn funny. Unfortunatly, we missed him when he played downtown Chicago, so we had to go out to the 'burbs. There wasn't much to do out there (lots of fodder for a comic), so we saw the show then ended up hitting up our local InnerTown for a nightcap.
We awoke to a chilly 1 deg F morning, and decided it'd be a good day to see a movie. "Why We Fight", the new documentery on the military-industrial complex, posing the question wait wait, get this: "why do we fight?" Anywho, i found it very though provocing, but am not going to review it now. Continuing on our date, we when to this french creperie and had crepes.
Umm, chicken-curry crepe, delicious! Then home for a videogame interlude.
And what better way to end a date, than meeting friends at Gold Star for beers and pool.
Fun weekend. Cheers Huangy!

Do anything fun?

JD! What a great description for our weekend. It was great, entertaining, and relaxing at times too. I enjoyed going to our local coffee shop and eating mac and cheese and having my oh so yummy Chai Tea. Walking around in 10 degree F. weather makes me truly excited for summer. I'm glad I get to experience this winter though, because with out it, I wouldn't be able to talk about the weather to people! it's a real ice breaker, ya know?

"ice breaker"...that's a good one. Nice play on words regarding our activities walking home after drinking on Friday night.
Outside, looks like it's sunny with clear skies all day today. Though it's probably 20 deg out there.

It's better than it being so beautiful and being 1 deg F. ugh, I want to either go to the mountains and play in the snow, or go to florida and play in the ocean... mmmm florida...mmm warm water... mmm Will smith...what?!
