Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll

So, you want Sex drugs and Rock and roll, eh?
That's last weekend for me! First I had an awesome chick come hang out, she did drugs in my apartment, none of which I partook of, but it still counts. Then later in the week I was hanging out with this gorgeous guy at the bar, where we listened to great rock and roll music, I ended up bringing him back to my place where we had sex. it was awesome.
My life is all about Sex drugs and rock and roll!

Trip to Chicago

Well, as you probably know, Chris and I moved toChicago, IL in September.
Since we were both unemployed, we decided to take ourtime and see some of the country on a little roadtrip, of which we ended up doing TWO, since we had two cars, and wanted to return to So. Cal for my brother'swedding.-On trip one, we took a northern route through Colorado, South Dakota and Minnesota. We arrived inChicago, found places to live, then traveled out to Milwaukee and down to St. Louis.-On the way back from San Diego the second time, wetraveled through New Mexico, Texas, and Tennessee. We had an overall great time, and have finally gotten the photos ready and up on the web (complete with somefunny captions!) check them out at www.goldnlane.com/ob Click on "Road Trip to Chicago" on the right. As said, we had a great time. Some of our favorites were: Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore, Milwaukee, Roswell, andGraceland! Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we did taking them.

Chipotle is yummy!!

I am a big fan of Chipotle. Mainly because of all the veggies and stuff, I figured it was way better for me than getting fries and a big mac... I'm starting to wonder if it's true though...

My burrito has 59g of fat, and 1215 calories. How about yours?

If I remove the Sour cream and Avacado... My burrito has 34g of fat, and 933 calories. But avacado is supposed to be good for you so i'm keeping it!

Maybe I'll get rid of cheese? My burrito has 32g of fat, and 885 calories.

What about no cheese or sour cream and make it a bowl?My burrito has 23g of fat.

Wait, now i'm eating a bowl of black beans, rice, avacado and lettuce...

Hmm, how about this. Tortilla, rice, avadado, lettuce, black beans... My burrito has 32g of fat.
oh wait! Fajita veggies!! My burrito has 40g of fat. Woah, I thought Veggies would be good for me!! They're not! I'm taking them off my burrito. My burrito has 32g of fat.

C'mon feel the noize...

Woo hoo it's friday night and I don't give a @$&%.
Oh yeah, it's getting that time of the year when I get antsy for something new. Yes, everything is new to me these days, but I want to travel. I want to get some mileage on my passport. The places I want to go is Holland, Germany, Prague and my favorite mmmm Budapest. http://www.budapestinfo.hu/en/ Check that out. Oh man that place just looks like another world. I want to go so bad. I'm going to use my tax return to go. (if I get anything, of course)
The other night, JD McGregor and I were tossing a few drinks back and I ended up getting pretty drunk. We ended the night promising to go on our own Europe vacation. Ahh the fun that will be had. The adventure too! good times good times

Some of that Holiday Spirit!

When i got up this morning, one of those morning shows (good morning america, or today or something) announced that Martha Stewart was going to be on soon, to show us how to make Egg Nog. I'm not much of a Martha fan, but i've wondered what exactly goes into Egg Nog. So i dropped the remote, and waited patiently.
Then there she was. Ugh. Well, lets see how it's done anyway.

Egg yolks - ok, i guess i expected that.
1.5 cups sugar - understandable
1 quart (that's 4 cups) whole milk - that's why i buy it in the "dairy" section.
1.5 quarts heavy cream - no wonder it tastes good
3 cups of Bourbon - really? That's almost an entire bottle.
2 cups of Cognac - uh huh, more than half a bottle...
0.5 cup of Rum - i see.

She swears it's better than the stuff i get at the store and i don't doubt it!
Jesus Martha, that concoction is 30% alcohol!
That's what i call holiday spirit. I may have to try it.

So to answer my question: What goes into Egg Nog? Lots of booze!

Riding Mass Transit

I've never ridden mass transit before. OK once or twice and when I would visit my sister when she lived in New York. Now I'm here taking it every day. I like it. Every morning I shove myself into an already overpacked train to get to work. i stand up against at least 4 different people who either smell bad or very nice. Today I was standing in the midst of some very lovely perfume. I enjoyed myself. Until someone cut one and I was in hell. Seriously, the person couldn't hold back!?

Shopping for Gifts

What a weekend! An all-around-fun time, though nothing in particular that i wanted to write about.
I did, however, do some shopping with my girlfriend. I was browsing for Christmas gifts for my family, and all i ended up getting, were a few ideas.
So as i was on the internet this morning, looking for more gifts ideas, when i came across an article disussing horrible gifts. This made me think of a buddy of mine who once got a watch that also functioned as a tv remote. As bad as it sounds, we did manage to have some fun with it in randoms bars while we were in college (that's right, he wore it!).
This also got me to thinking about some of the gifts i'd been given. I think the worst ever was a clock. It had different birds at every hour-mark, and when that hour struck, it played that bird's call.

In case you're curious, some of the funnier gifts seen this morning on the web were:

So you're SUV looks like you use it for other than getting groceries:
Spray On Mud
So you can take your pet for a walk:
The Pet Stroller
And here's
my bird clock

Have any particularly-bad-gift stories? I wanna hear 'em, as i need some ideas for a couple folks i know!

SODUKO

I love soduko. I play it almost every day via our local Red daily paper that is free. So, when I'm getting on the train everyday, I pick one up. Good stuff. Friday's is usually the hardest one. I'm not scared though. It may take me all day but i will do it!
Chris has gotten crazy good at them. seriously. I wonder if this can somehow become an olimpic sport. It should be. Who can finish first. Chris would get Gold, I would get Silver. For sure.
